ABOUT ME

Why I Write

I have always loved reading and getting lost in a story. Visualizing the descriptions of inanimate objects that seem to turn them into living things, or hearing the lilt of a character’s accent in the words on the page has been my safe place. I enjoy words. Their look, meaning, how they can elicit a picture in your mind or emotion in your heart. They are powerful. I began to write in middle school as an outlet for my feelings or reflection on tough situations I couldn’t understand. My style and vocabulary have evolved, but I hope to always utilize writing as my outlet to wrestle through hardship, or attempt to express an emotion. Overtime, I have opened the window to my world of words to some friends who have given me the confidence to share them here.

Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power we never dreamed ourselves to own; sources of strength never taxed at all because we never push through the obstruction.”
